NC Food Inspector was created and is maintained by the Code for Durham brigade. It collects and displays health inspection results (and violations) for most restaurants in your city. One can either search by establishment name or search for establishments nearby. It, currently, only supports the city of Durham but was built with the idea of expansion to other jurisdictions.

For CityCamp NC 2016 the code sprint project will be to import Wake County data and to create an easy path for other cities data to be included in the future. In addition, a project will be pitched to enhance the data and modify the UI to include CDC risk factor data from Wake County which will allow users to get clearer information related to violations that could lead to illness. A team that formed at the National Day of Civic Hacking in June has prepared the data necessary for the next step and has developed design wireframes for the UI changes. The team needs additional development resources to move forward.
